Sim City 2000 Emulator Download All Sorts

I have an old G3 iBook but it has a dead hard drive and I dont really want to spend money purchasing a HDD for a machine of that age.

It was the first one of the classic Macs to not boot OS 9, but in theory I could run Sim City 2000 in classic.

Ive seen postings about this on quite a number of forums if you google, but most everything is in theory.

Nobody has actually reported that theyre playing the game successfully.

My version (Windows) came on CD.

USB 3.5 drives are around 10 anyway, definitely worth it to play one of my all time favourite games.

Sim City Urban Renewal Kit (SCURK) and the tie-in with Streets of Sim City was one of the best synergies of all time (cant believe I used that word in a real life sentence).

I created a SCURK theme that was heavily inspired by the Flintstones.

There was a large modding community a few years ago so you could download all sorts of new buildings.

The iPad game was fun for a few days but it crashes a lot and seems to have some bugs (ex: constant warnings you dont have enough water pumps).

Oh, there is also an issue in allowing hills without any way to flatten them apart from building, then demolishing, parks along the edges.

The control scheme looks horrible to me but then I never liked SimCity anyway so to a fan it might be fun.

I play it on my iPhone all the time But since Ive been playing Doom on my MBP lately, Ive had a hankering for playing other old games, too.

What Mac are you running that on For me SheepShaver crashes at launch.

If its not there, SheepShaver silently exits (looks like a crash, because it never displays anything; just bounces on the dock and disappears).

Discussing exactly where to get said ROM would be against forum guidelines.

Been playing Dark Forces and SimCity 2000 via Boxer and they work flawlessly.

Worth picking up.

I have SC4 with Rush Hour (boxed How quaint) from when I used to have a PPC Mini; it ran like crap on my C2D white iMac, and I more-or-less gave it up as a bad job at that point.

Ive never installed it on my i5 iMac - is it going to be worth bothering with Is there some soopa sekrit Intel binary floating around that makes the graphics go at something resembling a usable rate.

And Ive worked with teachers who have macs for the past 3 years to play SC4 (through Future Cities ) and they all hate it.

When they come to my SC4 training seminars they like the game on the PC better.
